Mission Olympic Cell to TOPS: Ten athletes have been added by the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry’s Mission Olympic Cell to the list of athletes.
Key Highlights:
They would be provided support under the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS).
Ace rider Fouaad Mirza, golfers Anirban Lahiri, Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar, and Alpine Skier Mohammed Arif Khan are among the 10 athletes who have been selected for TOPS.
A total number of 301 athletes have been added under the TOPS so far including 107 in the core group.
About Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS):
This scheme is a flagship program of the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry.
The main objective of this initiative is to provide assistance to India’s top athletes so that they can win medals in the Olympics and major international tournaments.
