Shri Parshottam Rupala inaugurates India’s first ever Animal Health Summit


India Animal Health Summit 2022: Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala recently inaugurated the First India Animal Health Summit 2022 at NASC Complex, New Delhi.

Key Highlights:

  • India Animal Health Summit 2022 is a two-day event that has been organized by the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) and the Agriculture Today Group.
  • It has been organized considering the significance of animal health towards the broader objective of the country's food and nutrition security, rural incomes and prosperity and overall economic development.
  • The event will host a plethora of panel discussions ranging from topics such as Animal Health policy initiatives to Business environment & investment opportunities in the Animal Health sector.
  • The deliberations evolved will later be documented and presented to authorities.

Objectives of Summit:

This event is being organized with the following objectives:

  • To discuss the broad national scenario in the animal health sector, the scope and opportunities and challenges faced, the issues of access and equity, and the initiatives by states
  • To discuss policy, trade, technology, business, and regulatory environment for the growth of the animal health and nutrition segment in India.
  • To create a platform for partnerships in innovations, technologies, services and health delivery systems, and mobilizing investments to support the ecosystem for sustainable growth.
  • To share national and global animal health and management scenarios, emerging trends, developments, challenges, and opportunities, as well as the implications on states.
