PM recalls the spirit of sacrifice of Jesus Christ on Good Friday

Recalling the sacrifices of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said “may the thoughts of the Lord Christ keep inspiring people.”

PM Modi tweeted, “Today on Good Friday, we recall the spirit of the sacrifice Lord Christ was blessed with. He withstood pain and suffering but never deviated from his ideals of service and compassion. May the thoughts of the Lord Christ keep inspiring people,” 

Christians around the world are celebrating Good Friday on 7 April. Good Friday, also known as Holy Friday, is one of the most important festivals celebrated by Christians all over the world. 

Good Friday commemorates the day when Jesus Christ was crucified with Christians offering prayers and services in churches. 

Good Friday is also known as Holy Friday, Great Friday, Great and Holy Friday, or Black Friday.

It is considered good because Christ's crucifixion made way for sinners to reach God.
