Nagaland government has created three new districts in the state. Total number of districts in the state stands at 15.
Tseminyu, Niuland and Chumukedima are the three new districts.
While Niuland and Chumukedima have been formed out of Dimapur district, the Tseminyu, a sub-division of the Kohima district, has been promoted to a district.
Tseminyu became the 13th district followed by Nuiland and Chumukedima as 14th and 15th districts respectively.
