India, Senegal ink MoU on health, medicine in Dakar


On 5th of November in the Senegalese capital of Dakar INDIA and the African nation signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on health and medicine as both countries celebrates the 60th years of their diplomatic ties.

The agreement was signed during the two-day visit (November 4-5) of India’s minister of state for external affairs V Muraleedharan to Senegal. V Muraleedharan also co-chaired the Third Joint Commission Meeting.

A commemorative postal stamp was also released by the minister to mark the 60th years of India Senegal diplomatic ties.

“Signed an MoU with Senegal on Health and Medicine in Dakar. The MoU entails collaboration including in Disease Surveillance, Medical Research, Drugs and Pharma, medical equipment & Traditional Medicine. Comes at a time when the health cooperation needs more attention than ever,” he said in another tweet.
