Europol


The European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation, better known under the name Europol, is the law enforcement agency of the European Union (EU).

Formed in 1998, Europol (European Police) aims to improve the effectiveness and cooperation of the relevant authorities in its member states in preventing and combating terrorism, unlawful drug trafficking and other serious forms of international organized crime.

The headquarters of Europol is the Hague, in Netherlands.

Recently South Korea became the 10th country outside of Europe to join the Europol.
