Bhutan has conferred its highest civilian award Ngadag Pel gi Khorlo or the Order of The Druk Gyalpo on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Bhutan’s National Day
“Overjoyed to hear His Majesty pronounce Your Excellency Modiji’s @narendramodi name for the highest civilian decoration, Order of the Druk Gyalpo.” Bhutan’s Prime Minister Lotay Tshering tweeted on 17th December, 2021.
17th December, 2021 is the 114th National Day of Bhutan.
In 2019, Russia conferred on him its highest civilian honour ‘Order of St. Andrew' award.
The UAE also conferred its highest civilian honour ‘Order of Zayed Award' on Modi in 2019.
In June of 2016, Afghanistan had conferred the State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The award is the highest civilian honour of Afghanistan.
