Aadi Mahotsav festival

The national Aadi Mahotsav will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16th February, 2023 at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi. The Festival will be organized by TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs.  

More than 1000 tribal artisans and artists from different parts of India will be participating in the festival. 

TRIFED is an organisation of Ministry of Tribal Affairs. TRIFED is hosting the festival on behalf of the tribal ministry.

The Aadi Mahotsav  is a celebration of the spirit of tribal culture, crafts, cuisine and commerce. It was started in 2017. 

 

Rationale for Organising Aadi Mahotsav Festival

Government of India has been organsing “Aadi Mahotsav – National Tribal Festival” to provide direct market access to the tribal master-craftsmen and women in large metros and State capitals.
