1st P20 Summit under India’s G20 Presidency Concludes

The first ever G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit (P20 Summit) hosted by India concluded at India International Convention Centre, Yashobhoomi, Dwarka in Delhi on October 14, 2023

Parliamentarians from across the world participated in the Summit to reaffirm their commitment to continue their joint work to make an effective and meaningful parliamentary contribution to the G20 process. 

The ninth edition of the P20 Summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on October 13, 2023
The two-day summit was preceded by a Parliamentary Forum on Mission LiFE on October 12, 2023.

Theme of the 9th P20 Summit
Theme of the 9th P20 Summit is “Parliaments for One Earth, One Family, One Future”  which draws inspiration from the ancient Indian philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The World is one Family).

On the conclusion of India’s P20 presidency, the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla  handed over the P20 Presidency to Parliament of Brazil.

25 speakers, 10 Deputy Speakers along with 50 members of Parliament among others, participated in this global event.
